First SC4 Interview out
It's up there, and ready to be watched! Just some of the 1up guys jawing away, but some decent stuff. I would LIKE to believe they represent the hardcore following, but I know they don't, so take it as you can.

It's so good to be right - Soul Calibur IV, goes to Online Play....
As reported from 1up.com - the EGM article released today let's us all know I was right ;) - SC4 will have online play...
....So - just have to hold on to my friends till 2008, then I can ditch them, and play SC4 all the time...

SC's sister game gets online play... Prelude to SC4 being online?
While some hate it, and others play both, Tekken and Soul Calibur are connected at the hip, in the fact they are both
developed by Namco...
That being said, 1up.com's announcement yesterday that Japan will be getting the updated online version of Tekken 5 DR for online play, with a release in the states to come later means great things, perhaps for more than just Tekken players.
That being stated, the news of Soul Calibur jumping to an online platform feels like it's only a matter of time.
Personally? I know it'll be crap. DOA can't get it right. SF can't do it. Heck, FPS's like Halo can't do it. When you take a game that runs on 60 frames a second, and has 1 frame inputs, where twitches matter at a high level of play? You'll never be able to have a lag-free solid experience.
Really? The only way I could see online play HAPPENING in a solid format? Installing t3 connections to your local arcade, and networking gamers through their local arcade hubs - with dedicated broadband connections, we might then have a chance...
In the end - I doubt Namco or any business is going to have that kind of foresight. So, with a less than perfect solution on the horizon, I can at
least look forward to the potential of being allowed to beat up on know-it-all newbs from around the globe.

Our first look: Soul Calibur IV Teaser Video
What does the video tell us? That next gen will produce pretty textures. More importantly it clears up console questions - both the PS3 and
360 will be home to the new Soul Calibur installment. Now all that we need to know is if we'll have to put up with Spawn, and other console exclusives again. Also made clear, we'll for sure (not that it was a real concern heh) have Ivy, Mitsurugi and Nightmare back for this version.
According to 1up.com - some
game features will be "realistic environments, interactive stages, enhanced AI, and a new battle system," according to Namco Bandai.
And? That we'll be waiting till 2008... July can't come fast enough.
