*Yes, this thread should be in site improvements. After a while, we'll move this thread there.*
First off - what is a RSS feed?
Wiki -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(file_format)Saif version - RSS feeds serve 2 purposes for most; a way to have other sites info on your site instantly, and a way to REALLY keep up with what's going on, without even going to the sites. How do you have it on your site? That's programming lol, see our front page for an example of how we use it to keep forum info all over our site.
How do you read them yourselves? Use software that handles RSS feeds, or websites like Yahoo or Google Reader -
http://www.google.com/reader - to have
ONE place to go to read, vs all the sites you keep up with. (Now that Reader has gone mobile phone - yea.. . wow.)
THATS GREAT SAIF - but why are you mentioning this?
RSS Feed for the OKgamers.com Tournaments and Events forumUse google reader? Have a RSS solution, or want to put OKgamers on your website? Then plug in OKgamers RSS feed to know WHEN and WHAT is going on in Oklahoma!
http://www.okgamers.com/forums/index.php?action=.xml;sa=news;board=4;limit=10;type=rss( link is RSS 0.91 - aka the older format )
If you need rss2 - simply put a 2 at the end.
If you need Atom - simply "rss" with "atom" at the end.
If you need RDF - simply "rss" with "rdf" at the end.
If you need XML - then remove the ";type=rss" off the end.
If you need more than 10 posts - replace the 10 with the correct number you would like
If you need the POSTS and not the THREADS (Aka, this takes you to the currently talked on thread, first post. If you want to go to the most recent post on that thread...) - replace 'news' with 'recent'
If you want to RSS another forum - mouse over the links from the main view. See how it says "board=4.0" for Tournaments and Events? Yea - that's all you need to switch out - find the number for the forum you want, and put it there.
Pretty straight forwards, and I know I heart it! KEEP IN THE KNOW - USE THE INTERNET!@#

**SUGGESTED USES FOR THIS AWESOMENESS**

Saif I have Trillian Pro!@#OMG YOU TOO! There is a rss news feed plugin I HEART! Search the downloads for it, and install away! I use it for craigslist, anime, and Wired
Who is Saif? Anyway - I use Google Reader!@#I'm Saif yo. But yea, AEWSOME! Take the link from above, and use it! Keep up! YEA!@#
RSS SOUNDS AWESOME! But I don't have a google reader, or trillian, or a personal site, or yahoo, or...The pro's say they love Google Reader... Honestly? I don't have it either

BUT - my business partner stands by it, and it's a google product, so eventually I'll no doubt succumb. ALSO? With the mobile options sounding so awesome, I should have set it up along time ago anyway. Long story short? GO TO THE LINK ABOVE for google reader. Read up. Start using it. Keep up with all your favorite sites, AND OKgamers - at once

Don't thank me later, just help us promote OKgamers
But Saif - won't this take away from OKgamers traffic?Maybe a little bit. Sure, a few of the tech savvy people won't stumble onto the site anymore, and look around once they just RSS feed the important forums they want to watch...
...but. Once you find a post, a thread, a story going down? You'll come visit us

And I know RSS isn't for everyone, but it helps make life easier for us nerds, thus I wanted to spread the word yo.
