Taking 50% of the pot and 20 dollar buy in is an insult to the community.

Businesses / Venues / Events can do what they want - OKgamers is simply a place for them to POST that info, not debate, flame, or rank it.

OKgamers understands you might not agree, but please understand we fight hard enough to GET the content on the site - we won't scare off businesses, or have gamers use our system to ridicule, etc.

If you'd like to start a website for event feedback/ranking in OK - we'd be down :)  However, for here, we don't allow it, we just present it to give gamers the option.  Please understand the perspective of businesses not wanting to post where they'll be drawn into drama / conflict / time sucking arguments over their affairs.  We protect the forums to avoid such issues so they'll continue posting opportunities.

PnT - A moderator will clean this out in the next day or two.

Lol well i mean the overall community is sort of a laugh.  THere are plenty of fighters around but they all play different things.  Im super active but not in SF cuz I hate it, I play Blazblue a MUCH BETTER GAME lol but OK as a whole does NOT and it's sad...  SC is reviving? Cool but there were less than 10 players to begin with and a lot have stopped or moved...  Tekken is shakey overall.

MvC3 better be big as ♥♥♥♥♥ because i'll be on that myself,

AF - wanna know what's worth a laugh?  That you guys go ALL THE WAY TO CHICAGO - and don't even try to get a local community together.  Alfredo used to use the "Well once I get a car" - well he's had a job for a while, and you guys are going on road trips - what's the complaint now?  The Sun isn't blue?

LONE - you fall into the same category.

Anyway - this is a TOURNAMENT thread - not a COMMUNITY THREAD - you want answers, start a thread in fighting game forum for them.

Chicago was awesome, they have an arcade called Nickel CIty, they use NICKELS for the games, cheap as ♥♥♥♥♥, they have great games to play and rare ones too.  Awesome place.

But that was for a tournament lol, i can't/don't plan ANYTHING so there's no way i can "get a community together", i can only advertise other peoples attempts on other sites and such to try and get something.

THREAD - I edited the title - and we can continue the conversation here.

lol Tulsa fighting games are dead

Man - a lot of BS up in here.

Fighting Games are NOT DEAD - we just aren't getting in line lol.

Sure - you are not PLANNING TOURNAMENTS ANIMEFREAK - but you CAN HOST EVENTS.  What - can't host events at your house?  What about your friends?  What about that?

We could get fighters together at any number of places.
Funhouse.  I've done it at my house before.  Your friends house.  Maybe ORU could host.  WHO KNOWS.

THE POINT IS - YOU WHO COMPLAIN, AND GO TO CHICAGO - NOT SHOWING UP.
LONEWOLF - SAME FOR YOU!@#

WELL SAIF - all you play is SOUL CALIBUR!  Yes.  Correct.  T hat doesn't mean the SSF community can't get their act together and do gatherings weekly at someone's house, or some location.

As for SC - we've been playing at my house off and on - it wouldn't take much to make it official Thursday night and call it done.

--

My point is this -

AnimeFreak - I appreciate you taking info, and spreading it.  I really do.

BEYOND THAT - the old "Gridcon crew" is NOTHING BUT WHINERS WHO DONT CONSISTENTLY SHOW UP TO ANYTHING!.
 - either MAN UP and DO SOMETHING, SUPPORT SOMETHING, SPREAD SOMETHING AND SHOW UP FOR IT: or hush up, and go play a FPS.

Solutions are right there, you just have to take to them.  The ORU crowd is ALREADY getting together and playing from what I know - why aren't you plugging in?  GRIDCON CREW = ?  What.  You decide.

------------- MAY I SUGGEST YOU DECIDE QUICKLY:

OKgamers will do what it can to mobilize and go out to MvC Midnight Launches.  IF YOU GUYS HAVE GROUPS TOGETHER, that's info that can get these gamers going.  If all you have come February is "Well we'd like to play, but we whine and can't show up to one place to save our lives" - then yes.  Your putting nails in the coffin of fighters in Tulsa.

YOU might - but your GROUP - of gamers from back in the Gridcon days?  Your posse doesn't.  And that group you can marshal, could be playing other groups - like ORU, etc - and we could have this "community" you want so much.

Well what happen to these 11 gamers? http://www.gamexchangetulsa.com/events/ssf4tourn.php Theres 11 SSF 4 gamers and I'm willing to bet they not even members of okgamers. A good guideline to have to continue to have good turnouts is.. get people information. Remind them of events. Anime did you go to this??
