even saying 2d is too broad.

I can play BB on pad all day but wouldn't even dream of MvC2 on pad

Another example where a stick would help is performing chun-li's ex legs after a light kick. You would have to use piano hands to hit from low kick up to high kick and return to low kick. It is just too difficult on pad. I'm sure with a lot of practice, it would be do-able, but yeah...

But don't get me wrong, i have some friends who play SF on pad. My friend Phillip, who ran that family video tourney, only plays on controller. He'll be at that gamer gathering thing.

I've seen some amazing pad players for MvC2 as well.

More or less, i would rather not go buy a transforming D-pad controller to play fighters. I would save the extra money, if i really wanted another controller, to get a fightstick.

Strangely, if i ever play SF without my stick, i use the analog. Charge characters are no problem!

well I'm not going to use for fighters... I bought a fight stick for a reason... But it does look pretty cool... so I'll buy one... And use it for what ever may come up...

and 5 bucks? whatever... I'll pay 65 for a really cool looking controller...
