Any Cyber Cafes (for gaming) in Tulsa anymore?
« on: August 16, 2010, 10:36:04 PM »
Hi I'm new to the site and was wondering if there are any Cyber Cafe's (like Cyberzone if anyone remembers that place) left in Tulsa? Or even in the Tulsa area.

Thanks,
-Donic-

Arrgh, how lame  :-\. Cyberzone was such an awesome place, used to go in there and play Eve for hours, haha. Well, thanks for the answer DarkWraith.

My definition of a Cafe has a dedicated food and seating area - which Alien Games does not currently have in a way, but does have snacks and yes, tabletop gaming, as well as rent-able Xbox time - so in a way yes, and in a way no.

Several businesses have reviewed the idea of opening one of these up, but currently none that I know of are moving forwards.

I know I have been going over it with my boss.

The main problem is how do we cover our costs. Then get people to leave their comfy homes and couches. To pay to play games at our place?

I know I'd like to run it though.

Alien Games does have 2 high def tvs you can play on. I think they may have like a wii or something like that but usually you would have to provide your own system.

On the subject of covering costs first I think first it would need to be more of a cafe than anything. The whole paying to play online wouldnt be enough to sustain. You also think how are you going to limit EU time, using special software to moderate time could also cost extra.

The difference between a liberal and a conservative is that the liberal will ask you to vote republican while a conservative gives facts and asks for you to decide

Tim - Not exactly. It has been something I have brought up with my boss. He sounds interested but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Samurai - We have started that already!
