Raising the pot for TEKKEN

Vote, then give your thoughts on the idea. This is just one area of many I am checking with to see if we should change or not. So far there is no big vote for yes or no anywhere but answers should be evident soon.

I voted yes. It will make the winners feel something has truly been earned. It may bring in people used to playing for bigger pots. It will give others more incentive to become better with more money invested, a bigger goal worth working for. Among other things it may be for the better.

And I know the 5$ amount is simply a good starting place - if a community is different, or requires more - so long as we aren't scaring people off, OKgamers is going to support it.  We just don't want to make it unaccessible to the general population, etc.   Then again, if the general community pays a bit more, and gets a higher grade of competition, that can be good!

...and bad.  I wonder if that's what is going on with this massive SF4 turnover - people show up, get out classed, and don't show up again.  I mean I KNOW fighting gamers aren't all like the tried and true.   I know every tournament - we'll have die back.  They show up, get their butts handed to them, and that's it.  Period, they shrivel up, and we won't see them again...

...but 50+% turnover seems kinda crazy o_0

Anyway - that's SF, not Tekken.  I was really happy to hear of some new pockets of gamers from OKC showing up - hopefully that'll help the Tulsa community as well, and breed more competition from OK as a whole.

Indeed sir! It is looking like we might keep getting bigger and better turn outs for teh TEKKENS. So far the $10 raise is favored. The guys from Arkansas are behind it, of course you are Mike! Sheesh! and OKC sounds ok with it but I know McMc and Machinez won't hate it, hopefully it will help drag them out of their caves.

Haha agreed. X A, the conclusion is that everyone want's the pot raised. The guys on Zaibatsu are behind it and so are all of us. OKC and Arkansas support it as well. It doesn't look like it will do anything but help. Let's call it official.
