Official OKgamers.com Halo 3 Rules
« on: January 15, 2010, 05:55:37 PM »

FIRST AND FOREMOST - OKgamers.com follows the community rules for any game it works with.  As the Halo community is pretty much totally driven by MLG - we follow their rules first.

We always reserve the right to alter the rules due to hardware restraints.  What will you do?  If there is less hardware than people and time constraints dictate such, we might take a set of 7 series down to a set of 5, etc.  Worse case, we would take double elimination down to single.

Halo 4v4 - coming soon

--

Halo 2v2 - Rules tailored for 1/23/10 TCC Metro Tournament:

MLG v7 rules, we will only be playing MLG TS V7 the map selection will run through Narrows, Pit, Amplified, and heretic.

All matches except for Losers bracket finals and Winners bracket finals will be best 2 out of 3. winners and loser finals will be best 3 out of 5

BRINGING HARDWARE - PLEASE remember to update your maps to V7 and have all of them.

We do not require wired controller, but if you can please bring them.
While you are not in a match we are going to require Batteries to be taken out of the controllers to stop any chance of interference.

I can not comment on whether or not there will be any split screen play yet and i will not be able to until i see how many teams register, OR how much hardware we have.

*One team has to splitscreen, one doesn't?  RARE, and only in cases where we are really lacking hardware; preference will be shown to the team that brought hardware, vs a team that has not.*

RULE ISSUES?  POST BELOW TO DISCUSS, otherwise these are good to go.

CHANGING RULES AT THE TOURNAMENT?  Only if there is 100% agreement among players entered in the tournament.

As far as 4v4 I recommend going by MLGPRO.com they already have them up. We go by the last event held until the next event comes along and they make changes. So right now everything is still set on Orlandos rules and settings including map and gametype schedule.

Do they have a static or one page they keep that they update, or do  the rules changes pages?  If possible, we could just link straight to them if the page doesn't change.

I'm pretty sure the page changes. But they make it pretty easy to see the new page once they make it. It should say something like "Rules and Gametypes released for _____" on the front page.

I have no big objection to not playing The Pit first round Timmy, but I'm curious as to why you wouldn't put it in first round.
