OKC-Fight Club: Casual and Tourny- Tekken 6, SFIV , BlazBlue and more -11/06/09

With the release of Tekken 6 and the lack of fighting game tournaments in the area, we need to get the fighting game community back together.  This is a BYOC event.  I'll be bringing two PS3s, two lag free monitors that they use at evo2k9 fighting game championships, Tekken 6 and Street Fighter 4.

Cost:  Free, Cactus Jacks arcade games are not free
Rules: For casuals, we'll have a list for each station where you put your name on the list and it will keep track who whose next. You can put your name on multiple list so you get a chance to play multiple games during fight club.

We might impose a win streak limit so that people get a chance to play other people instead of one person just dominating everyone for free all night.

Confirmed Tournaments: SFIV
5 dollar entry, double elimination.  Evo rules.  60/30/10% of the pot.  Infinites allowed.  If you can actually pull off a infinite combo, you deserve to win.  No turbo buttons.

This is a BYOC event and if you want to bring a 360 or wii, you may do so, but you are responsible for your own equipment.  We hope to have other people bring in consoles so that we can play other games.  If you have any questions, please respond in this topic.

You are bringing a TV too right?  I want to try this BB.  Also, I'm pretty terrible at MvC2, but I want to see how skilled the other players are.

That's good.  Unfortunately my car actually died last night, it bled out across 3 blocks and died in a puddle of its own red liquid..... so sad

mooshie:  Yep, 26" Sony Bravia HD.  I'll check it sometime this week to make sure it's all in working order.  ♥♥♥♥ Best Buy though, ♥♥♥♥♥ fucknuts charged me more for that than Walmart does for the 32" model.  I'm thinking of returning it out of sheer principle, but I personally like the easier portability of it.  BB's fun, but quickly getting rinsed out due to Continuim Shift (BB#R basically) already past it's 4th location test.  We'll show you the game and what it boils down to by characters and matchups.  Game's good, just not enough room for characters to do things OTHER than their core concept, GG tended to have more freedom of expression and imagination while having staple combos/setups/etc.  And it seems like the only Mahvel players will be me and possibly Peter (Haidongriceman from SRK) if he comes from Tulsa, but we'll give you a good show.   

Animefreak6969:  ♥♥♥♥♥ son, when you gonna learn that trying to mod your car into an Orbital Frame doesn't work with American parts?  Geez.  That sucks though man.  See if any of these Tulsa cats would up for having you join their carpool.

Anyone have an extra TV they can bring?  I have a 25 inch CRT but the resolution on it is ♥♥♥♥♥ horrible.  I will bring my 360, with SF4, MvC2, HDR, and 3rd Strike as long as someone brings a TV.

Here's what I'll be bringing total:

2 TV's.  1 HD, 1 CRT

2 systems.  PS2 and PS3

Also of note, I got T6 to finally installed so that can be added to BB and MvC2.
