Thank you for bringing that stuff up.  I really wanted them to use the 07 rules, so this should be good.

Also...further clarification...

In a CTF game...if the winning team's (Can only be winning by a single point) flag has not been returned (back on the flag stand) at the 15 minute mark...they keep playing the sudden death until the flag has been returned or captured, correct?

Also...according to those Bomb rules...the game is decided by the SCORE at the 15 minute mark.  If the opposing team is in the middle of planting the bomb during that "15 minute" announcement...but the score has not changed by 15:00 mark...they have still lost.

Just making sure.

Correct.

Just a few hours away now!  Oy, I need to sleep.

Anyway - some updates -

In addition to the pot [cash prizes] – we’ll have prizes from CompUSA, Game Crazy, Funhouse @ the Riverwalk, and Joe Momma’s pizza!

Also, CompUSA will be having a drawing for games, as well as running gamer specials on gaming accessories!

Come Hungry – Joe Momma’s pizza will be on sale for 8$ a box, proceeds going towards helping OKgamers get shirts!

Speaking of Shirts – we’ll have them for sale!  10$ for s-xl, 1$ additional for each x.

And depending on turn out / how it goes, we’ll be looking to have more tournaments at CompUSA!
--

I'm seeing alot of pre-registrations, and hardware with them - so that's a good sign.  Worse case senerio we'll just keep it to one room, and best case we'll fill up both rooms we have to work with - we'll see.  Please get your hardware there between 11am and 12pm - so we can ACTUALLY setup and have things working by 1pm!

Some one PLEASE tell m,e the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams, and the FFA winners also.

I just got home from work/gf's house, I hate that I left early and would love to know the outcome.

FFA -
Pr1mo
Sparkx
Smiley

4v4 -
Hands of Gold [pr1mo's team]
Hands of Diamond [suit/smooth]
TBX [blizzards team]

HOWEVER - FFA being DOUBLE ELIM - and no one telling me that was a bad idea lol - took till 5ish, and then we cut it off at semi-finals effectively, added up points to determine ffa winners, and started the 4v4, which had to be single elim as a result -_-

CompUSA - as of yesterday, was fine with us doing another.  We've tentitively spoke about doing one on April 28th - barring finding anything else going on then, etc.  That's of course - assuming we got the rooms set back up good enough / there wasn't anything damage wise I didn't hear about.  I'll probably find out sometime tomorrow lol.

HOWEVER - there is no way on god's green earth - I will EVER put up with what happened tonight again, and throw another tournament in that same situation.  Aka - while there is no location fee, we have to KEEP THE PLACE CLEAN, and PUT THINGS BACK WHEN WE ARE DONE.  This - was more of a problem than I'll deal with again with only a few people.  Basically - xSteel - Pr1mo - Monster Man and the good lefty? - stayed and helped clean, and setup 2 FULL training room's worth of computers.  THATS IT - with the exception of a bit of help from pr1mo's team - who he guilt tripped into it, and same for xSteel's friends I believe.

So - either we'll have to have 'tournaments end, we put up hardware and then clean up, and then give out prizes' - so the 20+ people still around before we gave prizes out - all help out and get it done in 5 minutes?  Or - we have 10+ staff people guaranteed for cleanup before the tournament is set, else I personally won't take it on lol.  I mean seriously - it was rediculous for 2 of the 'staff' who gain nothing directly from this tournament and were already exausted from late night tourny prep work to be doing all that cleanup work with just a few of the actual halo guys.  Sykotik - Lonewolf - no, you being there or not wouldn't have swayed it - we'd have still been overwhelmed - so don't feel bad for having to check out early, you guys did a GREAT job helping on setup / etc.

It was overall a great tournament from the feedback I got.  'Next time' we can run a FFA single elim, and get to the important stuff faster - perhaps...  I still worry a double elim would take forever - 4v4 wise...  As we've not had alot of luck with it being quick at all with our Monthlies - and having to be out by 9pm - means time constraints.  However, unless we arrive at a acceptable clean up solution, I won't take on the responsiblity for running another tournament there, it's just too much post-clean up / effort to be putting in after a full saturday of tournament madness.

EDIT - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=compusa+halo+2 - Muahaha - I love being awesome lol.
