Why is a CO event posted?  Well technically, they do border on OK Smiley

Seriously though:
 - Soul Calibur Nationals will be held there
 - Formerly SSBB Nationals, and now a huge pot, will be there
 - This is an NVGA National event.

OKgamers, as one of the founding chapters of the NVGA, has always been backed by and worked with the NVGA.  We went to this last year, and hopefully we'll have a strong showin this year as well.

SO - while I know several groups of gamers are planning on going to this - I'm now getting a thread up for it!

The NVGA SuperCon is back!! The NVGA SuperCon, being held in Denver, Colorado July 24-26, 2009 is the national championship for the NVGA as well as the gaming haven for all gaming enthusiants seeking education in all aspects of the gaming world. In the end Education of the Gamer is what the NVGA is about!! The NVGA SuperCon features three key aspects to the gaming community:

National Championships and the NVGA Championships

Come join the NVGA as we crown our championships in both the NVGA and the two national events at the SuperCon. Below is the tournament games that will be featured at this year's SuperCon

-Soul Calibur 4 (National Championship and NVGA Champioinship)

 The event grows weekly.

Both national events consist of regional qualifiers finding the top 64 players in both games from across the nation as well Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. The NVGA Championship consist of players from all over the United States including NVGA chapters in New Mexico, California, Colorado, Arizona, Oklahoma, St. Louis, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and Nevada.

GAMER!!

This event?  Is like no other you'll see coming up.  When you think of gamers really involved in OKgamers - you think of some of the best gamers around, as well as the more organized, etc.  This is a showing of the best and brightest from 10 CHAPTERS, and various other areas.  Not to mention I GET A LOT of info from the CO chapter, as we work together a lot, etc.  So, if you want to see a well ran event - this is goin to be one (And we don't have to run it!  YAY!  lol).

In addition to the smoothness - this is ALSO where some of the SSBB players I went with last year saw "their maker" so to speak, and never played again Wink  So, serious competition? Oh yea.

$$$$$
There are THOUSANDS of dollars worth of bonus added to the various pots, and then prizes, etc - on top of that.

For Soul Calibur?  Literally some of the best competition assembled ever - will be there.

For Halo?  Names from the MLG like Soviet, and Team Crossfire.  Crossfire, the current champion of the NVGA as well.

Rock Band?  AN AMAZING setup - videos - http://www.youtube.com/GamesNVGA,  http://www.youtube.com/user/DeathoftheArcade

If nothing else - I'll be flying out to this, because it'll be that big of deal.  I seriously suggest you guys taking consideration - because from Fighter and tabletop to FPS - this is a big event, with everything from gaming to panels, and worthy of your time...

...also?  CO is hosting because they won the most events last year.  I won SC lol, but that was all for OK.  The NVGA chapter that wins the most competitions gets to host it the next year.  Jus sayin Wink

Oklahoma - let's represent.  Make sure you pre-reg with the link above!

MJ, how much approx do you think it'll cost ALL TOGETHER to go for however long we're going?  From what i was thinking, something like 200 bucks or so?  assuming i don't do anything way out of proportion.  However i could be way off and need to know.
