Bad Moderation.

For letting it go so long?  Your right, your right...

...I was simply allowing for other moderators to weigh in before making any decisions.  Sorry for our long and accurate process to cause you problems.

Please DO REMEMBER you are logging on to OKLAHOMA GAMERS - and it's an STATE tool, not a REGIONAL tool.  I'm sure you've read the FAQ over several times, but this is pointed out there and in the readme.

So I uhh.... remember this time when the Kansas City Max Out thread was alive and in the tourney area, not moved or anything at all. It's not Oklahoma, just cuz it's closer doesn't mean it should be handled any differently.

I'm sorry that you both think so little of me to think I'd abuse power or position to pick on or attack your interests.  If I didn't do it to people I don't like on the site, why would I do it here and now?

Anyway - read the !@R$# README.

Oklahoma AREA.

That's what OKgamers has served for a long time AnimeFreak and Michael Jackson.  AREA.

Roughly, we go by states that we touch, and MO we do, NM we do not.  Same reason we've had KS, TX, and AR threads and not said anything - they are around the OK area.

you i've read that thing twice lol. OK AREA is vague.  to me the US is the OK area lol, if you're having a tournamentin the US that people from OK are considering going to, post it here, get the word out for others who are looking for it.

Congradulations AnimeFreak, your unique.

For the rest of us - the site is dedicated to one state.  To serve the state best, we focus on the 'area' for any large events happening right down the highway in a neighboring state.  You know, "area" - like Dallas.  A common trip, etc.

Nevada's neighbors?  CALIFORNIA.  THE WEST COAST.

Anyway.

If we wanted to serve the entire US, we'd have named it USAgamers, etc.  Also, there would be no real way to serve the local gamers as we have if we weren't a regional solution, and not country focused.  If we were lax on the rule, we'd get overran with posts / events happening well outside the scope of local gamers.  If there are non-OK area events to be posted, they can put them in the Chat forum, or if it's one game type, the proper Local Players forum.

Well first off it's  "You're unique"   Otherwise your telling me i own unique.

I understand that we are local for our local groups of gamers, but again posting a thread for a tournament outside of OK in general, if someone from OK is going and throwing it out there on the tournament forum because they're going should be fine.  No matter where it is.

Your opinions are welcome, so feel free to come to the next OKgamers meeting and express your view on changes to OKgamers where they can be discussed by a grouping of staff and others.

Oklahoma sucks.

Remember that the trip will be a decently costly one as the pre-reg for Evo is $30 + entry into the games you're interested in.

DO NOT DELAY!

PRE REG ENDS THE 31st!

I know alot of people are asking for a schedule but we cant make a precise one until we know what kind of numbers we are dealing with.

For a very limited time Evo will have bags for sticks. (...and by limited I mean this is the 2nd run of these as the 1st run sold out within half a day)

Just follow the link and order one through paypal if you'd like. ---> http://evo2k.com/?page_id=360

Be quick to act and a slick stick bag can be yours! (Holds a SF4 TE stick comfortably)

-------------------------------------------

In an unrelated note there will also be a Tekken 6 Console invitational tournament for everyone's viewing pleasure!

Check your pool assignment.

Remember, if you did not sign up before 11:59 pm last night you won't be able to participate in the tournament or play casuals, though you will be able to spectate.

I'm in Pool C.

-

The very loose schedule is:

Thursday: Arrive, hang around the airport until everyone is all together (~5pm) and then roll out to the hotel and check in and give Rich a  call.  He'll pick us up and then we'll go to his house and enjoy fine company with his family in the evening and later that night it will be whatever we want to do.

Friday: Walk the strip and enjoy everything and anything we want to.  The only plan here is to see The Amazing Jonathan at 9pm in the Planet Hollywood Harmon Theater.

Saturday: Wake up at god awful in the morning and prepare to play your best!  9AM SC Tourney.  The rest of the day is for Casuals / Watching other tournies / whatever we want to do.

Sunday: Finals for all games as follows

9:00 10:30 Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike 2on2 - Finals (top 8 )
10:30 12:00 Guilty Gear XX:Accent Core - Finals (top 8 )
12:00 12:15 Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion Tournament Finals (top 2 )
12:15 1:30 Soul Calibur IV - Finals (top 8 )
1:30 2:00 Combo Video Exhibition
2:00 3:30 Marvel vs. Capcom II - Finals (top 8 )
3:30 4:00 The Dog Face Show: Live!
4:00 5:00 One Hour Dinner Break
5:00 5:15 Blazblue Exhibition Tournament Finals (top 2 )
5:15 6:45 SSFIIT: HDR - Finals (top 8 )
6:45 7:00 Special Words from Ono-san
7:00 9:30 Street Fighter IV - Finals (top 8 )

Monday: Say goodbye to Vegas and hopefully not leave our entire bank accounts there.
