Las Vegas, Nevada - Evolution - 7-17-09 Through 7-19-09

Evolution.

This is one of the biggest tournaments internationally for a multitude of games.  It's always a veritable who's who in the specific fighting game communities ranging from the hometown heroes to the proven traveling vets.

Held in Las Vegas, Nevada in The Rio hotel from July 17th - July 20th.

The games this year are:

Street Fighter IV
Marvel Vs Capcom 2
Street Fighter 3: Third Strike (2v2)
Super Street Fighter Turbo HD Remix
Guilty Gear Accent Core
Soul Calibur IV
Super Smash Bros (1v1)
Super Smash Bros (2v2)

There will also be two Exhibition tournaments... Tatsunoko Vs Capcom and SSFT:HD Remix 5v5!

Pre reg has already begun and the hotel is filling up fast, but come on Oklahoma! WE GOT THIS!

On a personal note there are several people from Tulsa already slated to go:

We're all flying and most of us have our tickets already... we're primarily leaving Thursday morning and leaving Monday sometime, but we'll be there the entire event and would like to see more Oklahoma people reppin' more games than just Soul Calibur!

APPARENTLY there could be 1000+ people signing up for SFIV so watch out, this is the big leagues and only the best in the world will win!

Nice....mike, you gonna compete in sc4?  And if you are, you gonna use xanghua, since ur the only and best xanghua player in tulsa?

The plan for us is to leave on Thursday, July 16th and return Monday, July 20th.

We're going on separate flights, but we're all showing up about the same time.

I'm putting aside ~$1000 for expenses (LAS VEGAS MAN!!!) but as far as what is necessary...

I'd think it'd be about $600 total for Room, Food, Entry to the tourney for the 4 nights.

This DOES NOT INCLUDE a show or anything else we might do... but who knows.

Coming up with a ticket and all the funds needed is all your responsibility. 

Bear in mind the Evo event isn't free to enter either... I think tickets are like $50 for the door and then you have free access to the gaming areas, but tournies are still pay for entry.

Yeaa...

...so I know you guys are goin to this and all, but it's a BIT of a stretch to call VEGAS in the OK area.  So, because it's Fighting gamer focused, I'll be moving this to that competitive forum.
