To let you in on a secert... They cant banned or fine you... Your using a legit software to play the game which is fine.

You can get into trouble if your posting vids and details about the game on sites before the release date.

Why do you think certain pros get games before they come out.?

Actually they can fine you for breaking street date. I don't know where you get your info from but at Gamestop, when I worked there, Doom 3 was released and some Blockbuster broke the street date and rented the game out early. They ended up getting fined for each copy that was out.

 If you get a disk... It might be for the company that let it at early.

If you download it onto a mod box with the software theres nothing they can do. That part is fine to do.

unless you leak facts and other things out about the game. Do you really think noone has a copy of gow 2 yet. Since you can play it at every college right now thats trying to promote the game.

Modding is a Grey area when it comes to being Illegal.  Now imma say this, weather it means anything to you or not, But I have a Bachelors in Criminal Justice / Cyberology as well as a Masters In ComSci Minor in Mathematics

Ive done tons of studies on the DMCA.   Any Basically what it boils down to  Modded consoles are fine.  Where it gets illegal is most people mod there consoles to make copies of games.  Anytime you copy anything that is digital and has some type of copyright protection on it. and you copy it, EVEN if you own the game.  Its against the law. Bottom line.  This goes for Console games, DVD's , BluRay, Music CD's,  Music CD's are a little different though they have a complete other set of rules.
