In my experience very few solid players brag unless provoked.  If you're good - your mouth doesn't show it; respect from the community, and tournament results speak loudly enough.

I don't know if this is directed at me or not but for the most part I keep to myself and post very little on this site and MLG...i just dont like Steel making people feel bad when like i was at the bottom of the list one time and i had to get dominated over and over again by pros before i got decent.

Wow. Let's kill the offline scene and discourage improvement in one post. Well done. I love how people always forget that they "sucked" at one point or another. -_-;;

Are people magically going to get better without experience? Because playing in your safe living room on Live is very different from playing in a tourney.... or on stage, for that matter. Nerves come out and pressure to perform is immense, and you can't get experience with that unless you actually go to a tournament. And online in never as definitive as offline. I don't know why people think that for some reason... sigh.

Anyway, to talk about something constructive, since I didn't even buy Halo 3 (the beta was enough for me >_<), is the game as popular in tournaments as Halo 2? Like competative wise. Because I see more people on my friends list playing COD4 than H3, so I wanted to know how it was doing tournament wise. (If this has been talked about before, forgive me, but those are a lot of pages to read through... and I'm lazy lol)

Dude. . You're supposed to be "Staff LEAD" and you're talking this crap on forums.  You really need to pull your head out. . I don't know if you noticed in your process of becoming staff lead that this site is about PROMOTING gamers in OK, not DISCOURAGING them.  Noone wants to go to a LAN when brats like you are acting the way you typically do.

If I were visiting the site for the first time and read your post, I probably wouldn't read much further.  If you're half as good at whatever it is you think you're so great at, don't you want people to compete with?

yeah, he can act like that all he wants.  He's not intimidating anyone.  He just isn't representing the site well, and that isn't doing anyone any favors.  I would hate for newcomers to assume the rest of the staff is that immature/snotty or whatever. . It's one thing to talk a little trash at tournaments and all, that's part of the fun.  I just think staff should be putting up with users, not the other way around.

...as my roommate is addicted to H3, and I've been playing a sadly large amount of halo as a result -_-  SSBB is the only thing that'll get me away from all this horrible Halo!  lol
