ask Viper and Walter. they were once both addicted. When it was taken away from them they went through some violent withdrawls.

I guess the EVAR didn't indicate that I was being sarcastic. -_-

I wasn't meaning you. I was meaning two of the other people in the thread. :-\ In fact, I didn't even realy notice or remember that you'd said that when I made that first post.

I'd be more than happy to nerd it up with you WoW style on Thu if you plan on showing up Cools.

I kinda... quit playing since SC4 came out (HON HON HON ONLINE IZ HILARIIIIIIIIIOUZ HON HON HON FRENCH LAFF!!!)  but my account is still active and I plan on playing with my RL buddies once they catch up on a secondary server we're all jumping on.

-

And as a quick starter tip let me recommend you pick up Mining.  On a developed server (one that's been out for a while) you can net several gold for a simple stack of Copper and really rake in the benefits of having cash early on (assuming you're not getting any financial help from your friends).

I have a level 27 priest on Cho'Gall that's sitting on ~200g solely due to sales of Copper, Tin, and Iron as many-MANY people buy it to powerlevel other skills as necessary.

Just a quick tip...

Just like MJ says, Skinning and Mining FTW. I just hit 60 and I'm sitting at 1600+ gold right now.

If you are a pally or warrior and you want to do oodles of damage get Blacksmithing. You can make stormherald which is one of the best 2h maces in the game. And if you already have mining, you can just use the mats from it to level your blacksmithing.

Well now that I'm actually doing quests, things are a lot faster. >_< I was just killing monsters before lol.

I'm at a bit of a loss with the game. I have fun playing it and, with the new spells I've acquired, the figuring out of the system a bit better, and a new area that I'm slightly able to fight in, I can see this game as being a lot of fun. I like finishing the quests and gaining new levels because I know that means I can go to new areas so it isn't getting boring. That's what I didn't like about Maple Story: I'd have to train in the same areas forever and, when I got to a higher level, if I messed my stats up, I couldn't move to the next training area. -__-

But, I can also see that, if you don't have a group of friends to run around with, it's not as fun as it could be. I've been playing by myself despite the promises of friends to at least talk to me.  T_T And this is kinda the reason that I picked it up and am trying to quit Maple story - I wanted to play with other people and not just run around leveling alone, which is what happens on Maple. Maybe it's because I'm not a level 70 and they are (they had me join their guild and I'm the lowest level in there by far) but it's kinda silly that it's that anti-newcomer. =/ I hope this issue gets better with time or I get some people to play with. It could also be because my friends aren't good at helping others but it just feels like I'm being alienated until I'm level 50+.

I know that this is the problem with most MMOs; when you start you're very behind everyone else. I guess it's because the world is so huge that they can't easily come over and at least show off their character. In Maple, since it's smaller, my higher level brother could easily come and help out my level 7 character. Then again, when I played PSU, my friend was a level 42 when I started playing and there were no problems playing together; in fact, I passed him in level after a while.

Oh and I got a little dragonhawk pet ^o^ (I think they look cool even if it doesn't do anything; I guess it keeps me company since I don't have anyone to play with)

I depends on how social you are in the game and you can have tons of friends. Me, I level fairly quickly so it's not a concern,  but I have been playing for a while and know where to go for what levels and yadda yadda. I took the hunter I have been leveling from 1-60 in about a month.

Hmm.. figured this is the right place to post this just cause it's about WoW

Just wanted to say I've been playing the beta for WoTLK and it is suprisingly really, really good. I figured leveling a Deaht Knight would just be boring but it is very fresh and exciting.

Sweet, good to know. I've been debating on quitting, but really wanting to wait until WotLK to come out to see.

On a side note. Started a priest, shes pretty cool so far (lvl 10).

I think the DK starting quests are really well designed, And they're really epic if you pay attention to the story lol. Oh you also get a 100% mount at  level 56 for doing a super-easy quest, OP much?
