cod4 or halo 3?

ok i think we have discovered that most people think that halo takes more skill

BUT

it all depends on which type of game you enjoy, if you like a realistic game, then youll lean toward cod4 and if you like strategie fps youll lean toward rsv2 and if you dont like those...then your a halo person (of course this is only including fps)

Seriously.  Threads like these always lead to no good.  Tekken vs Soul Calibur in their forums, this vs that, sigh.  I guess if someone seriously needs the pro's and cons then this is benefitial.  The problem is often people come in with too shallow of a view and just make the whole thing unreasonable.


In the end - what do you want?  Seek out that in a game, and have fun with it.

i play cod4 because halo 3 is too easy.

If call of Duty 4 takes more skill then Halo 3, then MLG would have picked it up instead of Halo 3...

MLG has already said that they would of picked up cod4 as one of their side games, IF they had a lobby system for system link.  But it doesn't have it.  Go try to boot up Cod4 in system link with a friend... its retarded.  also they dont have create a class on system link as well... another retarded thing for system link.

thats based on UU's, not guest...remmeber the reason why halo still has more people is guests. cod4 AND gta4 wont allow guests but halo does, therefore there should be more people. just not that many people have actual accounts on halo.

no, beacuse if you have to rely on everyone having their own internet connection vs. 1 connection per 4 people it will result in less connections for the host to deal with therefore less lag. that's why Bungie allowed guests...becuase halo can get pretty laggy with its graphics and its game engine. plus you got so many different types of MM all the while trying to stay connected.

Wow there are some very good arguments here for both games, and I'd like to give my input.

Lately I've been playing tons of COD4 and while thinking about it the other day, I realized that it is more challenging, and I get a greater feeling of satisfaction from it. I dont run into annoying little kids, or douchebags every match like I do when I'm playing Halo 3. Now I'm not saying that it doesnt happen, because I know it does, I'm just saying that there is much less of it.

As far as the diffrence in skill. It all boils all down to what game type you are playing. This is why in COD4 I play Hardocore Team Death Match, or Hardcore Team Search and Destroy. It is much easier to be killed, and when I shoot someone with a sniper rifle they die. Because lets face it. If I shoot you with a sniper rifle and you dont die, then I better have only shot you in the pinkie, or the big toe.
